A national rating of higher education institutions was created. It is based on the experience of reputable rating agencies and leading foreign countries. Projects are also being implemented in close cooperation with QS, THE to improve the methodology of the national rating system. This year, for the fourth time, we plan to announce the national ranking of the country’s universities. It is gratifying that in our higher education institutions there is a positive growth trend in all indicators.
A new institutional system was created, which will pay special attention to the independence and responsibility of educational institutions, the recognition of personnel trained by the labor market when assessing the quality of education.
In 2020, the Education Inspectorate was included as an observer in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) to introduce a quality assurance system in education at the level of European requirements. It became the first government agency in the Central Asian region to become a member of the European Network of Educational Institutions (SICI).
On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, we began to study the educational experience of Finland. As a result of our cooperation with representatives of this country, we have achieved good results in a short time.
We are the first to participate in international programs such as PISA, PIRLS, TIMSS, aimed at assessing the quality of education.
With the support of the EU Erasmus program, we organized a workshop for national higher education institutions.
We intend to further enhance our collaboration through the EU Twinning and TAIEX programs on the above issues.
We hope that today’s meeting will serve as an important step in the development of multilateral relations and that these tasks will be completed”, the head of the Education Inspectorate said.
Ambassador Charlotte Adrian expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and detailed information provided and stated that she was ready to support the proposals in education.
“First of all, I would like to note that education has always been of paramount importance for the European Union. From this point of view, we are always ready to support the reforms carried out in this area. From what I have seen so far, I can say that even though the Education Inspectorate is a young organization, it has managed to implement many significant projects. This, of course, is commendable and deserves recognition.
All this serves to the fact that our cooperation in improving the quality of education is acquiring a larger scale, roadmaps are being improved in this direction”, the head of the European Union delegation said.
The new Twinning project is a long-term project aimed at supporting partner countries through institutional cooperation with the necessary skills and experience for EU legislation.
